I have the meds, I start Friday afternoon, and until that time, I am pondering my relationship with food and will be recording on weight watchers. Obviously, I want to change not only my weight but my relationship with food. But to be honest, I love to eat, and drinking does add a bit of a kick to life. So, while I am making room for the health and sveltness that I never attained in a normal manner, I desire to eat a few extra sweets and a bit more here and there. Oh, not excess. It was just a cupcake that landed in our home due to a birthday, a hand dipped chocolate from a team member. Not the norm and foods I will no longer have, possibly again. I am prepping myself for long-term health, and from what I can tell those who want to live long and feel great, don’t do cupcakes. It’s a life I look forward to, but honestly, I will miss the eating without extra concerns about how I will react to the food. My husband is a former bariatric patient. It saved his life, but his beginning was an adjustment. Bigger than mine will be, but eggs bugged him. Which was just odd, but it points to my point of what foods will feel great and which ones will cause an issue, how to deal with the issue, and how to keep motivated to change not just my body but my mind and health, after I have one more cupcake!
